The drive on I-10 in Florida has been uneventful, which is nice! Passed Panama City where tons of vacationers are likely soaking up the rays, and then lots and lots of places with hard to pronounce Indian names. Something we'll have to get used to with a state capitol in a place called Tallahassee!

Another Beautiful Day!
It's another great day for driving, so let's hope traffic and both vehicle cooperate! This is the bridge over Escambia Bay...Beautiful!!
Pensacola to Safety Harbor
Remember that 8 hour drive all the way to Safety Harbor I mentioned last night? Well, that's not including stops, or the hour we'll lose because we are still in Central time. Prayers for an easy travel day with no traffic, please!

Denneys, Disco and Dancing
Don't let the caption fool you.......three of us went to Pensacola Beach just after sunset and took a spin. Beautiful, fun and lively....gorgeous actually. Lots of terrific looking restaurants. We will return for a long weekend. Fatigue took over and we decided to get something quick to eat and head back to the hotel. Before you knew it we were back at LaQuinta and our only choice was the Denney's next to the hotel. Hmmm, not what I had hoped for but it would fill the bill.....nachos and a club sandwich...not all the food groups, but it will do for us tired travellers. Back at the room, turned on TV and convinced Mr. Godsey (my nickname for my husband and that's is another story) not to watch police mysteries and instead found PBS doing a 70's disco special. KC and Sunshine band, and so on. In my pajamas, Barney and I danced the floor...what is that expression.."cut the rug"....I guess we did...so I have had my aerobics for the day.....this blog is the last stop before turning in. We have some serious time to make up tomorrow. 8 hours in fact. Going to leave hotel at 7am and put the pedal to the metal.....Barney is set for bed too....one nacho, some Mighty Dog and a Beggin Strip....not a very good diet but we are all off our norm. He is such a good boy. What a blessing to have Barney. Mr. Godsey is doing great being our navigator and hauling luggage in and out of hotels. He said he is looking forward to fishing next week and I am looking forward to taking Barney to the Gulf for a "toe dipping". Have you ever heard of that? We will take a photo of him putting his paws in the water for the first time......I know, we are pitiful just pining over this dog, but he gives us youth, joy and happiness...he is a true gift. Night everyone. Love to All.
Thank you
Thanks Elizabeth for letting me email you the photos so you can post them for all to see...while they are not quality photos, it is the best you can do with a camera phone. Hats off to you for all your help today.....the three of us appreciates it...Love, Dad, Mom and Barney
Ahh, The Beach...
We made it to Pensacola, and while the hotel inside is great, the outside, not-so-much. I'll wait until later to fill you all in on all of those details. For now, we are headed to Pensacola Beach to see what trouble we can get into with Barney! We are losing sunlight so it's cooling off some, but the photos aren't so fabulous. You get the gist, though! Enjoy!
